タコライス Tacorice

日曜日は吉祥寺まで散歩して、ハモニカ横丁のタコライス専門店、クイナでランチ。私はアボカドチーズ、メタボが気になる夫はお肉ではなく豆ベースのベジタブルを注文しました。見た目、これまで食べてきたタコライスとはちょっと違うけど、どれも美味しかった！東京でタコライスを食べるようになるとは思わなかったなあ～、とは夫の弁。同感です。
On Sunday, we walked to Kichijoji to have lunch at Quina, a tacorice shop.  I ordered a avocado & cheese while my husband ordered vegetable with beans instead of meet.  They look a little different from tacorice we used to eat, but they are very good!  My husband said, "I never imagined that I would eat tacorice in Tokyo."  I agreed.

1日神戸 One Day in Kobe

東京に４１年ぶりに雪が降った４月１７日、私は凍える寒さの東京を脱出して春爛漫の神戸へ。素晴らしい陽気と緑の中で、異人館めぐりをしました。夫が結婚式に出席するのに便乗して半日だけの観光でしたが、１０年ぶりに従姉と会えたし楽しい１日でした。東京の皆さん、ごめんなさい。
On April 17, when it snowed in Tokyo, I got out of freezing city to spring warm, sunny Kobe.  I visited foreigners set up houses in beautiful, fresh air and green.  I just followed my husband who had to visit Kobe to attend his colleague's wedding, and enjoyed sightseeing for only several hours, but I enjoyed my stay in Kobe very much because I saw my cousin whom I hadn't seen for 10 years.  Sorry for people in Tokyo.

そら豆の花 Broad Bean Flower

冬の寒さや強風に耐えたソラマメに、花が付きました！きちんと実が付き収穫できるように、これからアブラムシに目を光らせなくてはなりません。

Withstanding winter cold and strong wind, broad bean now has flowers!  To make it bear fruits and to harvest, we must keep a close eye on antcow.

花見 Cherry Blossom Viewing

今年は花が長持ちしているので、急きょ家族で花見をすることに。先週より人が少なく、花の真下にシートを敷くことができました。毎年夫婦二人で出かけても、最後は皆でワイワイ、になるのですが今年は誰にも会わず。でも、焼き鳥に釣られて部活帰りの娘も途中参加して、はらはらと降ってくる花びらを眺めながら、ゆったりした時間を過ごすことが出来ました。

As cherry blossoms last longer, my husband and I suddenly decided to to go blossom viewing yesterday.  There were less people than last week that we could spread our picnic sheet right under the tree.  Even if we went alone, we met our friends at the site and we ended up drinking eating with a lot of people, but yesterday we saw nobody.  However, our daughter joined us after her club activity to eat yakitori, we all enjoyed slowly falling petals and peaceful time there.

50回目の誕生日 50th Birthday

ついに５０歳になりました！夫からのプレゼントはＴ－ｆａｌの電気ポットとロクシタンのスキンケアセット。これで毎日気分良く暮らし、あと５０年（！？）生きますわ。

It's my 50th birthday!  T-fal electric pot and a skin care set of L'occitane are present from my husband.  I guess they will make me feel good and live another 50 years!?

扉をたたく人 The Visitor

アカデミー賞ノミネート作品として先日テレビで放映されていました。あまり期待もせず何気なく見始めたのですが、心に沁みるいい映画でした！大スターが出演しているわけではなく、ストーリーも淡々としていて劇的ではないのですが、人間にとって大切なもの－愛や尊厳－がくっきりと浮かび上がって印象的です。 This movie, the Visitor, was broadcast on TV the other day as an Academy nominated production.  Though I didn't expect much and started to watch it casually, I was much impressed and am convinced that this is a good movie.  No big star was casted and no dramatic event happened, but what is important for human being - love and dignity -  is clearly surfaced and we can get a certain message.
