血液型が変わっちゃった！ My Blood Type Is Changed!

久しぶりにいい本を読みました。とある勉強会で、親しく話したわけではないのにこの人の本なら、と本人から直接買って、しばらく友人に貸していて先日やっと読むことが出来ました。本当に辛い病気の闘病記なので、読んでいて苦しくなる箇所もありますが（友人は怖くて最後まで読めなかった、と）、著者は関西人でかなり面白おかしく書いていて、私は元気な著者に会っているので最悪の事態にならない、と判っているせいもあって、最後まで冷静に読めました。著者が病気とどう向き合っていったかを読み進めていく上で、人はどう生きるべきか、が鮮やかに浮かび上がってくる本なので、若い人にぜひ手にとって読んで欲しいと思いました。 This is one of the best books I've read lately. At a study session, I met an author who sold his book, and I decided to buy it right away, though I hardly knew him. I was so sure that his writing must be very good. As I rent this book to one my good friend before I read, it took almost two years for me to start reading. As this is a leukemia journal, sometimes it makes you feel uncomfortable (my friend said she was too scared to read through). But like many people from Kansai area, the author jokes around all the time, and as I know he is okay now, I can read calmly. Reading how he faced and fought against his disease, we can see very clearly how people must live their lives. Therefore, I strongly recommend young people to read this book.

フジコ・ヘミング ピアノソロコンサート Ingrid Fuzjko Hemming Piano Solo Concert

6月15日に行われたフジコ・ヘミングのソロコンサート、2週間経ってしまいましたが、よかったです～。人気が出始めた頃から注目していて、去年初めてコンサートに行ってきました。高齢だし、早く生演奏聴かなくちゃ、と思ったからなのですが、とにかく元気で100歳まで大丈夫だなぁ、というのがその時の感想。十八番のカンパネラも聴いたことだし、当分フジコ・ヘミングはもういいかな、と思っていました。でも、スペインのオーケストラと共演すると聞いて早速チケットを予約。ソロはもちろん素晴らしいけれど、共演者を輝かせるセンスがあると感じたんですね、前回。だから、今回のオーケストラとの共演もとても楽しみにしていたのに、震災でオーケストラが来日できなくなり、急きょソロコンサートになりました。チケットをキャンセルすることも出来たのですが、震災復興のためのチャリティだし、聴いてきました。素晴らしかったです！

ショパンの24の前奏曲で始まり、次にプログラムにはない木枯らしのエチュード。この曲は去年行ったコンサートでも弾いていましたが、その時はふらふらしていて今一つだったのですが、今回は完璧。次にバッハのパルティータ、主よ、人の望みの喜びよ、と続きました。グールドの演奏の方がやっぱり好きだけど、彼女の演奏も個性的で素敵。
圧巻は休憩後の組曲「展覧会の絵」でした。ミサ曲やレクイエムではないのに、彼女の鎮魂と復興への祈りが力強く伝わってくる演奏。「日本は一つ」「がんばろう」などと一切言わず、演奏で伝える。こうでなくっちゃ、芸術家は、と思いました。
More than two weeks has been passed, but I just want to write how wonderful Fuzjko Hemming Piano Solo Concert was.  I've been interested in Fuzjiko since the time she drew public attenditon about 10 years ago, and last year I went to her concert for the first time.  As she was in advanced aged, I thought I shoud go whenever I had a chance, but her performance convinced me that she would easily live up to 100.  Listening to la Campanella, her specialty, I thought I would not come to her concert for a while.  When I found another concert with Spanish orchestra; however, I made a ticket reservation.  I enjoyed her solo performance, but I felt she had a talent to withdraw the best of co-player, and I got much interested in what she could do with this orchestra.  Due to Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Disaster, the orchestra could not come to Japan and the concert was immediately changed to Fuzjko's solo concert.  I could have cancelled the ticket but I decided to go because it was a charity for disaster restoration, and her performance was simply great!
Starting with Chopin's 24 Preludes, she played Etude Op.25-11 "Winter wind." She played it last year, and at that time her piano fumbled, but this time, it was perfect.  Then she played Bach's partita and Jesus, joy of man's desiring.  I prefer Gren Gould's performance, but hers is also unique and marvelous.
The highlight of the concert was "Pictures At An Exhibition" played after intermission.  Thought it's not mass nor requiem, her performance was full of prayer for the victims and restoration.  This is what artist should do, expressing his/her wish via performance, not to say "One Japan," or "Pray for Japan" on TV.
