トマトの花

先週植えたトマトに花が咲きました！
って言っても、「つぼみの付いた苗を買いましょう」というテキストの指示に従って苗を選んだので当然と言えば当然。でも可愛い～。
Tomato that we planted last week bloomed! Well, it's only natural because we followed a direction in our textbook that we should buy seedlings with flower buds. But still, it's nice to see them blooming.

菜っ葉

雨上がりの朝、畑に行ってみてびっくり！細ニラのようにしか見えなかったほうれん草がぐんと大きくなっていました。間引くのに１時間ほどかかり、帰宅後根っこをキッチンバサミで切って洗って食べられるようにするのに２時間かかり・・・農業って意外と時間がかかります。だけどサラダにして食べたら本当に美味しくて、ボウルいっぱい作ってあっという間になくなりました。今日はマルチを張ってトマトも植えました。

We went to the field to get surprized with much grown spinach that looked thin, Chinese leek. It took me about an hour to thin them out, and two hours to cut root with scissors and wash. I didn't know it takes so much time from harvesting to eating. But salad I made with them was so delicious that a big bowl of it was eaten very fast. Today we also planted tomatos.

初収穫

２週間前に撒いたミックスリーフや青梗菜を間引いたものを、勿体ないので我が家の夏の定番お昼ごはん、ぶっかけおろしうどんに載せてみました。自分で栽培したから、ということもあるのでしょうが、口の中で野菜の風味が濃厚に広がって、激ウマ。我が家の初収穫でした。
I put baby leaves thinned out from the field on my favorite, summer lunch, cold udon with grated raddish, for I just couldn't throw them away. When I ate them, strong vegetable flavor spread in my mouth and it was so good. That was our first harvest and I am perfectly happy with it.
