みんなちがってみんないい

５月２５日の昼下がり、私が三線を習っている先生と仲間の皆さんがライブを行うということで、イベント「みんなちがってみんないい」に行って来ました。雨上がりで曇り空だったのですが、河川敷でエスニック料理を食べながらジャズやエスニックな音楽を聞く、楽しいイベントでした。
ちょっと分かりにくいですが、写真の奥は出演者に一般の人が交じって「安里屋ユンタ」を踊っているところです。

We visited ecological event "We're different & that's great" on May 25 because my Sanshin teacher and her students & friends played Okinawan music there. Thought it was cloudy after heavy rain, we had a good time, eating ethnic food and listening to ethinic music. It's hard to recognize in the picture, but people are dancing with Okinawan folk song.

のまんじゅう

先日出張で上京した稲福先生から頂いた儀保名物「の」まんじゅう。あまりの懐かしさにやったー！だけどこれは私の知っているのまんじゅうではなく、掌サイズ（実際は大き目の肉まんくらいの大きさ）で、餡子も小豆ではなく紅芋でした。よく見ると「の」の字も実際はもっと赤い。
でもコーヒーによく合って美味しかったです。ごちそうさま。

This is a no-manju (bun with sweet bean jam), a popular sweet in Okinawa. As I haven't eaten it for a long long time, I cried out with joy, but actually this is different from what I used to eat as no-manju.
The size is smaller, filling is not bean but sweet potate and the color of the letter is not red but pink.
But it tasted good with a cup of coffee. Thank you Inasuku sensei, who gave it to me.

芸祭

日曜日に夫がゲイ祭行かない？と誘ったので、ゲイの祭典と勘違いした私は行く行く！と二つ返事で行ってみたら、村上隆が仕掛けた芸祭でした・・・完成度にばらつきがありましたが、若い芸術家のパワーに大いに刺激を受けて、楽しかったです。
写真は「うまい棒」で作った仏像のコレクション。何だか癒されました。

When my husband invited me to GEISAI last Sunday, I took it as a gay's festival and replied immediately, "Sure, why not?" Actually, GEISAI was an exhibiti of young artists organized Takashi Murakami. But I had a very good time, inspired by their enthusiusm and creativity. The picture shows Buddas made of umaibou, popular rice snack. They were somehow soothing.

日光の緑

ゴールデンウィーク最終日は日光で過ごしました。本当に緑がきれいで癒されました。そこで思い出した一句。

We spent our last two days at Nikko City. Green is so beautiful all over that we felt much comforted. I remembered haiku by Junko Hashimoto as follows:
Mountains are laughing all over to foot
