本部のゴーヤー

で か！先日アセローラフレッシュの並里哲子さんから送ってもらったゴーヤー。彼女の知人が無農薬で作ったものだとか。比較のためにきゅうりと並べてみたのですが、大根のように大きくてつぶつぶが大きくて、早速ゴーヤーチップスにして食べてみたら苦いっ！これぞ沖縄の味でした。この辺のスーパーで売っているゴーヤーとは違うなあ。

Huge! my friend Tetsuko, an owner of Acerola Fresh, sent those goyas, grown organically by her acquaintance in the Okinawan town of Motobu. They are as big as Japanese raddish, much bigger than cucumber in the picture, and their warts so distinct and big. When I soon fried and ate them, they tasted strongly bitter! Very different from those sold at supermarket in my neighborhood.
